This is a new and exciting workshop that I am adding to be itinerary for 2026. It is a mixture of the best bits from my Best Of Iceland, Iceland Epic and Iceland South Coast Workshops and it will take in the very best that this amazing place has to offer.

The workshop will run from Friday 6th November until Sunday 15th November and as with all of my workshops to Iceland, places are limited to 3 clients only. This not only ensures that you get the best possible experience, but allows us to hire a 4* 4 vehicle and to be as flexible with our timings as we need to be. We can also work on individual and unique compositions  - no need to stand in a line with 6 - 8 other photographers!

We will fly to Iceland on Friday 6th and stay not far form the Airport on the first night. On Saturday morning we will set off and drive towards Grundarfjordur, which is where the famous Kirkjufell mountain can be found. We will be staying here on the Saturday and Sunday evenings. On Monday morning we will head back down the coast and into the Golden Circle, taking in the major sites before our overnight stop near Arnes. On Tuesday morning we head towards Vik and Wednesday will see us heading further east, past Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach before we end up in Hofn where we will stay on Wednesday and Thursday evening. Friday we are back in Vik for the night and then finally on Saturday we end back up at the same hotel that we stayed in when we arrived. On Sunday 15th we fly back home.

Of course it is not all about driving! The overnight stops have been chosen for a specific reason and the photography opportunities along with way are amazing. What we don't photograph as we make our way towards Hofn, we pick up on the way back. Of course when we get to Hofn we have the amazing Vestrahorn and Eystrahorn waiting for us, plus many more locations. There will also be plenty of time to edit our images that we have taken and coaching / tuition will be given on how to get the best out of Lightroom and Photoshop.

This workshop also coincides with the new moon period, which is on Tuesday 9th. Whilst the moon does not interfere with seeing the Northern Lights* at this latitude, it can saturate the sky on nights when the aurora isn't as strong making it tricky to photograph. In November the sunrises at around 9.30am and sets again just before 5pm. This is just perfect as it allows us to maximise the best of the light at both ends of the day and travel between locations when the light is at its brightest. In reality the sun doesn't really get that high above the horizon and amazing light can be found all the way through the day.

To secure your place,  a £450 non refundable deposit will be required with the balance due by 1st August 2026.

But there is more.......... to make sure that everyone knows one another before we head to Iceland, I will be running a free weekend workshop across the North York Moors, all you have to do is find your accommodation, the rest will be take care of.

Flights to Iceland are not included in the price quoted. Accommodation, travel during the workshop and the workshop itself are all included in the price. Accommodation will be either on a bed and breakfast or self catering basis. No evening meals will be provided. Excursions that we book as a group are also not included  IE whale watching or glacier cave tours.

The Northern lights are a naturally occurring phenomena. Whilst every effort will be made to find locations to see and photograph them, they cannot be guaranteed due to weather or other conditions that may or may not exist. In the event that it isn't possible to see or photograph the Northern Lights then no full or partial refund will be given.
