Isle of Harris and Lewis

17th  - 24th September 2022

Staying right on coast at Marvig on the Isle of Lewis, this week long workshop promises to be an amazing experience.

Ideally placed to explore both Harris and Lewis, the workshop is for 7 nights on a self catering basis. Travel during the workshop is included in the price as is the cost of the photography workshop.

I always book self catering accommodation for 2 reasons. Firstly it allows us to have the flexibility to photograph as and when we want to maximise the light and conditions without being tied to meal times. Secondly it keeps the cost down as we create a kitty and buy the provisions that we need for the week.

The Isle of Harris and Lewis is renowned the world over for its amazing beaches, rugged shores and amazingly dark skies with no light pollution. You will however need to bring your waterproofs as the weather can be inclement at times.

Over the course of the week we will visit locations such as:-

Luskentyre Beach, Seilebost Beach, Hushinish, Northton Saltings, Mangersta Sea Stacks, Stac a' Phris, Butt of Lewis along with other locations.

In favourable conditions it is also possible to see and photograph the Northern Lights. During September, the Milky Way also shines magnificently in the Southern Skies.

Marvig is ideally placed on the east coast of the Isle of Lewis which puts us in the ideal location to capture the best of the morning light before heading out for the day.

With 3 places only available of this workshop, it will allows us all to travel together during the workshop. ensure that you receive all of the tuition that you need and form great friendships with rest of the group.

The cost of the workshop is £1100 per person if travelling alone and having your own room. For 2 clients travelling together and sharing a room, the cost per person is £850. A £100 non refundable deposit*  per person  is required to secure your place. Please note, travel to and from the Isle of Lewis is not included and your will need to make your own way their, including the Ferry crossing from  the Isle of Skye at Uig to Tabert on Harris or form Ullapool to Stornoway. Click here to access the Calmac Ferry website.

* please note, if restrictions are in place due to Covid 19 which forces the cancellation of the workshop then the £100 deposit will be refunded.
